It’s International Day of the Girl 2017 today.

Wednesday, Oct. 11 marks a day in which we honor and empower women through words and action. We focus on the problems that women face and battle them, while also promoting their human rights.

The day is one to strive for equality in all people by having an equal standard of morals, valuing women as much as one values men. Their role in society is equal, and we have created a gallery to honor them.

Over the next few slides, check out these nine quotes we found to empower the women of the world on this International Day of the Girl.
