GM (GM) has announced a series of GM recalls that will set the company back about $400 million.
About 2.42 million vehicles will be affected by the four GM recalls that the company is issuing. Here are the vehicles that will be affected:
- 1.34 million crossover SUVS: These vehicles have faulty front seatbelts and they include the following: Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia full-size crossovers from the 2009-2014 model years and Saturn Outlooks from 2009-2010.
- 1.08 million previous generation Chevrolet Malibu from the 2004-2008 model years and Pontiac G6 from the 2005-2008 model years are being recalled due to shift cable problems.
- 1,402 Cadillac Escalades and Escalade ESVs are being recalled due to faulty passenger air bags.
- 58 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD full-size pickups are being recalled because of a possible fire hazard.
GM stock is down about 3.4% Tuesday.
