Will GE Get Its Mojo Back Post-Earnings?

Multinational conglomerate General Electric (GE) will release its third-quarter numbers before the bell on Friday, and it’s looking to break an ominous streak that dates back nearly two years. For seven consecutive quarters, GE stock has fallen on the day of the report. But the selling doesn’t have anything to do with the headline numbers. In fact, GE has bested analysts’ expectations in eight of the last nine quarters, and it matched estimates in that ninth one. Maybe a new CEO will be able to break the unlucky streak, but really GE just needs a strong quarterly report.
