Samsung (SSNLF) was denied a ban on older Apple (AAPL) products by a South Korean court on Thursday.

Samsung185The electronics manufacturer was seeking to ban the sale of Apple’s iPhone 5, iPhone 4s and iPad 2 electronic devices due to claims that the products infringed on copyrights held by the company. The lawsuit also asked that Samsung be awarded $95,160 in damages from Apple. Samsung is currently examining the court’s ruling and will later decide if it wants to appeal the verdict. If Samsung had won the lawsuit, Apple would have had to stop selling the previously named products in the country until the alleged copyrighted technology was removed, reports Computerworld.

“We are glad the Korean court joined others around the world in standing up for real innovation and rejecting Samsung’s ridiculous claims,” Steve Park, Apple’s Korea spokesman, told Reuters.
