But if you’re still craving Oscar-winning movies, don’t worry — we’ve got some Hulu Plus movies to fill the statue-shaped hole in your heart.

If you’ve exhausted the award winners on Netflix, check out these Hulu Plus movies that have taken home an Oscar or two (or 10!).

Oscar-Winning Hulu Plus Movies: The Usual Suspects

Spacey plays Verbal Kint, a con man and the only survivor of a criminal assault that left dozens of men dead, millions of dollars in drug money laying around, and one cargo freighter in flames. The movie follows Kint’s account of the weeks leading up to the attack, and how five wrongfully accused criminals ended up getting involved. The result is a classic crime film, and one of the best Hulu Plus movies out there.

If you liked the intricate plot of American Hustle, you’ll enjoy the weaving, crime-based narrative of The Usual Suspects. And if you like Spacey’s performance in House of Cards, his award-winning role in this film is not to be missed.

Oscar-Winning Hulu Plus Movies: Lost in Translation

hulu-plus-movies-oscars-lost-in-translationSofia Coppola took home the award for Best Original Screenplay for her work on Lost in Translation, the tale of two wayward Americans who cross paths in Japan and discover how much perspective they can gain from unexpected encounters.

Lost in Translation is a quiet, understated film about isolation and the search for self-understanding, but for the people paying attention, it’s also quite humorous. It’s a remarkable commentary on how people can find themselves so alone even in an age where we’re more connected than ever.

The film shares a number of things in common with the latest Best Original Screenplay winner, Spike Jonze’s Her — not the least of which is a powerful performance from Johansson. If you’re looking for a cure for stale romantic comedies, this is one of the best Hulu Plus movies for you.

But if you want to check out Lost in Translation on Hulu, act quickly; the site says it won’t be available much longer.

Oscar-Winning Hulu Plus Movies: West Side Story

hulu-plus-movies-oscars-west-side-storyWest Side Story takes the tale of Romeo and Juliet, throws it in New York City in the ’60s and adds a bunch of song and dance numbers. It won an Academy Award for … pretty much everything. The film went home with 10 Oscars, the second-highest tally of all time (three movies are tied with 11 wins). Its 10 wins are the most for a musical.

West Side Story is one of the most decorated Hulu Plus movies, and it’s a great choice for anyone looking for an all-time classic. If you’ve been belting out “Let It Go” ever since you saw Frozen, we think you’ll enjoy this one.
