gatorade-lebron-james-twtr-ko-pepGatorade made several posts on Twitter (TWTR) dissing Lebron James for leaving the game due to a cramp. However, the company later apologized for the Tweets and said it got too caught up in the heat of the battle. James endorses Coca-Cola’s (KO) Powerade, a rival to Gatorade, reports the Associated Press.

What everybody has to say, you guys should know me by now, I don’t care. I really don’t,” Lebron James told the Associated Press. “I really don’t care what people say about me.”

Powerade shot back at Gatorade during the second game of the NBA finals. In this game, Lebron James returned to the court and led the team to a victory by scoring 35 of the 96 points scored by his team. Powerade Tweeted that “There is strength in silence. The best response is made on the court.” It also posted several other Tweets showing support for James, notes.
