Netflix (NFLX) will stop sending warnings of slow streaming due to poor Internet connection to users for the time being.

NFLXThe move comes after Verizon (VZ) issued a cease and desist against the company, stating that Netflix can’t prove that slow streaming speeds are linked to Verizon’s services. The streaming service will stop sending these messages by June 16.

However, Netflix believes that Verizon has yet to live up to a deal between the companies that would allow the service to send traffic directly to the ISP. Netflix’s monthly streaming-speed report shows that the streaming speed of Verizon users has dipped from 1.99Mbps in April to 1.9Mbps in May.

Netflix inked a similar deal with Comcast (CMCSA) to send traffic directly to the ISP. The streaming speed of Comast users has increased from 1.68Mbps in April to 2.5Mbps in May.

NFLX stock is down 1.64% Monday afternoon. VZ stock is up 0.3% and CMCSA stock is up 0.08%.
