The iOS 8.0.1 update was released this morning and since then it has caused some devices to become completely inoperable. Several users have reported that the update caused their devices to stop receiving signal and won’t allow them to do anything that requires cellular activity. There is also an issue where some devices’ Touch ID feature isn’t working properly. The problems assocaited with the update seems to be limited to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and seem to be happening across multiple carriers. Users are advised to use iTunes to set their devices back to before the update or perform a clean install of iOS 8 to fix the issues.

Prss: Apple has confirmed an earlier rumor that it has purchased Prss, an e-magazine publishing firm, reports AppleInisder. The report claims that Apple purchased the publishing firm to acquire talent for its own resources. The company didn’t have much to say about the purchase, other than to confirm that it had happened. Several Prss employees report that they are now working with in the San Francisco area and the publication’s co-founder, Michel Elings, now lists his workplace as Palo Alto, Calif., on LinkedIn (LNKD).

Watch: Apple enthusiasts waiting for the company’s upcoming smartwatch may be able to get their hands on one by Valentine’s Day, BGR notes. According to sources close to the matter, many Apple employees were expecting the Watch to come out before the end of the year and only pushed back their estimates very recently. These sources claim that the company decided to push back the Watch’s release date to better develop the device’s software and apps. Sources claim that the device could be ready for a Valentine’s Day release in 2015.
