Basic materials stocks remained flat so far on Tuesday on Wall Street.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average stayed consistent, the Nasdaq increased 0.1% and the S&P 500 stayed level.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd (ACH): ACH stock is up 6.9% today.

• Crown Cork & Seal Company (CCK): CCK stock is up 3.7%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Century Aluminum Company (CENX): CENX stock is up 3.3% today and up 29.8% in the last month.

• Sinopec Shangai Petrochemical Company Ltd (SHI): SHI stock is up 2.7% today.

• Ball Corp (BLL): BLL stock is up 2.0% today.

• Valhi Inc (VHI): VHI stock is up 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Packaging Corporation of America (PKG): PKG stock is up 1.3% today.

• Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK): BAK stock is up 1.2% today.

• Kapstone Paper and Packaging Corp (KS): KS stock is up 1.2% today.

• Silgan Holdings (SLGN): SLGN stock is up 1.4% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Aurico Gold Inc (AUQ): AUQ stock is down 3.5% today.

• Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd (HMY): HMY stock is down 3.0% today.

• Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is down 3.1% today.

• Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO): EGO stock is down 2.8% today.

• Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (AEM): AEM stock is down 2.5% today.

• Anglogold Ashanti Ltd (AU): AU stock is down 2.6% today.

• Royal Gold (RGLD): RGLD stock is down 2.4% today.

• Stillwater Mining Company (SWC): SWC stock is down 2.4% today.

• Barrick Gold Corp (ABX): ABX stock is down 2.3% today.

• Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN): BVN stock is down 2.3% today.
