iPad: The first round of customers have started receiving their iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 devices, reports MacRumors. The new Apple (AAPL) devices started showing up for customers in launch countries and have been seen in some retail locations, including Apple Stores. This has led to several unboxing videos being posted online as people get their first look at the new devices following the official release. Early reviews of the iPad Air 2 were mostly good, but the iPad mini 3 reviews haven’t done as well. This is mostly due to its being the same device as the previous version with only minor updates, such as Touch ID.

DebtGT Advanced Technologies (GTATQ) has come up with a way to pay off its debt to Apple, AppleInsider notes. GT Advanced was a provider of sapphire displays for Apple. However, it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. To settle its debt with the tech company, it will sell 2,039 of its sapphire furnaces to other companies. This will have the company paying back the $439 million it owes to Apple. GT Advanced is also allowed to use the sapphire facility in Mesa, Ariz., without rent for a year as it shutters its operations.

iPhone: Owners of an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus have a new problem to worry about, reports BGR. Some iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners have noted that the dye from their jeans is rubbing off on the devices. They dye is rubbing off on the white plastic that can be found on the back of the smartphones. When users complained to Apple about the problem, they were told to clean the devices with common household cleaners. However, this didn’t solve the issue and no further support was provided. The rubbing off of dye has been referred to a dyegate and it leaves the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus looking old and worn out.
