- Minerals Technologies Inc (MTX): MTX stock is up 6.4% today.
- Agrium Inc (AGU): AGU stock is up 6.0% today.
- National Steel Corp (SID): SID stock is up 3.2% today.
- Fibria Celulose S.A. (FBR): FBR stock is up 3.3%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Cliffs Natural Resources Inc (CLF): CLF stock is up 2.7% today.
- Reliance Steel & Aluminum Company (RS): RS stock is up 2.2% today.
- Vale S.A. (VALE): VALE stock is up 2.2% today.
- Nucor Corp (NUE): NUE stock is up 2.0% today.
- Intrepid Potash Inc (IPI): IPI stock is up 1.7% today.
- Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc (POT): POT stock is up 1.8% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Olin Corp (OLN): OLN stock is down 4.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Lyondellbasell Industries Nv (LYB): LYB stock is down 3.8% today.
- Westlake Chemical Corp (WLK): WLK stock is down 2.9% today.
- Simpson Manufacturing Company (SSD): SSD stock is down 2.5% today.
- Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD): GOLD stock is down 2.4% today.
- Polyone Corp (POL): POL stock is down 1.9% today.
- Eastman Chemical Company (EMN): EMN stock is down 1.6% today.
- A. Schulman (SHLM): SHLM stock is down 2.0% today.
- Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL): AXLL stock is down 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Rio Tinto Plc (RIO): RIO stock is down 1.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
