Google (GOOG) is the target of a $100 million lawsuit concerning the celebrity nude pics that were hacked last month.

google-goog-celebrity-nude-picsThe lawyer behind the $100 million lawsuit is Martin Singer. Singer has represented several celebrities in the past and now represents a group of unnamed clients. He claims that Google hasn’t done enough to stop the spread of the celebrity nude pics, reports The Guardian.

According to Martin, he sent Google a letter four weeks ago asking the company to remove several celebrity nude pics from YouTube and BlogSpot. He says that the company has refused to do so and that it’s raking in “millions of dollars in advertising revenue” by letting the photos stay up, The Guardian notes.

Kate Upton was one of the victims of the celebrity nude pics hack. Her photos have been shared on several sites and her boyfriend has sent DMCA takedown requests to Google in an effort to get the photos removed. However, the company has rejected close to half of these requests, reports Business Insider.

The celebrity nude pics that were shared across the internet came from hacked accounts on Apple’s (AAPL) iCloud belonging to several celebrities. The pictures were shared on 4Chan and over 100 celebrities were allegedly affected by the hack.
