American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) have announced a clothing line for dogs and their owners.
The line is called American Beagle Outfitters and it was borne out of an April Fool’s Day joke earlier this year to raise money and awareness for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
The joke received plenty of support from the public and American Eagle Outfitters decided to make it a reality. The American Beagle Outfitters line is a limited-edition offering that the retailer churned out for the holidays this year.
“Following the journey of this idea has been fun for our team and we are now excited to introduce real American Beagle Outfitters products to our customer,” said Michael Leedy, Chief Marketing Officer of American Eagle Outfitters.
The line offers plenty of options for your dog including jackets, vests, beanies and more. “This fun collection reflects the iconic elements of the American Eagle Outfitters brand reimagined for our favorite furry friends,” said American Eagle Outfitters Style Director Preston Konrad.
AEO stock is up 2.56% Wednesday afternoon.
