Apple (AAPL) no longer lists “Free” apps in its App Store.

Owners of an Apple device will now see the word “Get” next to apps in the App Store. The change has only been made to apps that are free to download as paid apps still list their price next to them. The change likely occurred to avoid confusion surrounding free apps with in-app purchases, reports Business Insider.

Several apps in the App Store use a “freemium” model. This means that the app itself is free to download, but that there could be purchases made within the app. Labeleing these apps as free has gotten Apple in trouble in the past because the in-app purchases weren’t made clear to users, Business Insider notes.

While Apple has changed how it labels apps in the App Store, the term free isn’t completely gone. The tech comapny still includes the term free in some of its list, such as ” Top Free Apps for iPhone”, in the virtual store, reports Forbes.
