According to the rumor, the tech company will release a smartphone with a 4-inch display in the second-half of 2015. This means that the new phone would possibly replace the iPhone 5s as the company’s newest 4-inch device. The rumor also claims that the reason behind the smaller iPhone is that it would better appeal to women.

Maps: Two new patents gives insight into Apple’s plans for mass transit in its Maps service, AppleInsider notes. The two patents are named “User interface tools for commute assistant” and “Location-based features for commute assistant.” The patents reveal a system for Apple Maps that would allow users to look over transportation services offered in their area. This includes buses, shuttles, trains, metros and subways. The feature would include detailed information on routes, times and other parts of mass transit services.

iPhone: A Chinese company claims that Apple’s iPhone 6 infringes on one of its patents from July, reports BGR. The infringement complaint comes from Digione and concerns its 100+ V6 samrtphone. The two devices look similar at first, but a closer look reveals some big differences. The Digione smartphones doesn’t share much in the way of specs with the iPhone 6 and it runs on a modified version of Google’s (GOOG) Android. The biggest similarity is the 5.5-inch display.
