Google decided to remove the Amazon app from its Play Store after the company let slip that there was a hidden app store in the app. Play Store doesn’t allow apps to be distributed through it that carrier a similar function to what it does, reports Business Insider.

According to the Google Developer Distribution Agreement, no app can be in the Play Store that “facilitates the distribution of software applications and games for use on Android devices outside of the Store,” Engadget notes.

Amazon worked quick to remedy the issue and released a new app titled “Amazon Shopping” that doesn’t include the hidden app store. However, Amazon claims that its app was removed due to Prime Instant Video. It also noted that its app can still be downloaded by Android users on its website, reports Business Insider.
