According to the rumor, Quanta Computer, a supplier for the company, is preparing to hire more workers to get ready for the launch of the device. This rumor claims that the supplier is looking to add 30,000 employees to its workforce to help with this and the Apple Watch release. The rumor also claims that the new 12-inch MacBook Air will be released in the first quarter of 2015.

Chips: A new report claims that Apple may be planning to use its own chips in MacBooks in the next two years, AppleInsider notes. The report, which comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company will be able to create its own chips that will be near between Intel’s (INTC) Atom and Core i3 chips in terms of power. This could allow the company to us its own chips in future products, including iPhones, iPads and Watches.

Patent: A new patent granted to Apple shows off a possible 3D user interface, reports BGR. The patent was awarded to the tech company by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is titled “Three dimensional user interface session control”. The patent details a system that would allow users to control a computer with gestures and movements. The patent shows that the possible system could also be used to interface with a computer even if the person isn’t facing its screen. The 3D system would allow users to move virtual objects around as they sit in midair.
