Ricky Martin was the target of the first celebrity death hoax of 2015.

A poorly edited YouTube video allegedly shows the 43-year-old suffering a car crash that led to his demise. The Puerto Rican singer confirmed he was alive but he had a little fun in the process.

Martin posted a picture of the beach on his Instagram account with the following caption: “Hello from #heaven.” Fans speculate that the image was taken in Puerto Rico.

There were plenty of celebrities that fell victim to death hoaxes last year including Macklemore, Macauly Culkin and Miley Cyrus.

Thankfully, they’re all alive and well.
