The decision to remove BBC shows from Amazon Prime comes as the company works to have more exclusive titles. This has it not renewing its license with the network on Feb. 15 as those shows are available via other streaming services, reports The New York Daily News.

The decision to remove BBC shows from Amazon Prime extends to Doctor Who and Luther. However, it will not include Orphan Black due to a deal that has Amazon as the exclusive service with streaming rights to the show. Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is also dropping some BBC shows, but it will keep Doctor Who and Luther, The New York Daily News notes.

Amazon is expected to have a greater focus on exclusive deals and original content in 2015. The changes to what BBC shows it streams will likely be detailed to customers in the near future, reports The Consumerist.
