The update shows that users have the ability to go in and change the skin color of emojis. This is meant to allow people to make emojis able to represent different races than just Caucasian. This would apply to the human looking emojis and not the yellow ones that look similar to a smiley face. The beta also includes empty spots for new emojis and organizes them in a way that they are easy to navigate.

Google: The beta for Apple’s OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite includes updates for signing into Google (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL), 9to5Mac notes. the beta allows users to access two-step verification for a Google account more easily. The update makes it so that users can simply have a text sent to them with a code or get a code through Google Authenticator. This cuts down on the current number of steps that it takes to sign into a Google account on a Mac. Setting up a Google account for Mac can be done in the System Preferences’ Internet Account section.

Patent: A new patent from Apple shows more ways that the company could use TouchID in device displays, reports AppleInsider. The new patent is titled “Fingerprint Sensor in an Electronic Device.” It shows that users could use TouchID senors in a device’s display to confirm their identity and unlock the device. The sensors could also be used to help detect multiple fingers on the display. This could allow users to require all five of their fingers, or even their entire palm, to unlock one of the tech company’s devices.
