‘HBO Now’ May Launch on Apple TV in April

Time Warner’s (NYSE:TWX) HBO Now, a planned streaming service, may be coming to Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV next month.

The service is expected to cost $15 a month, which is roughly what it costs from a cable provider. Several set top boxes, including the Apple TV, may carry the service when it launches, reports International Business Times.

Apple has been in talks to have HBO Now launch on Apple TV for a while now. The company likely hopes that offering the new streaming service will pull in more new users. A study claims that the release of the streaming service could result in up to 7% of cable subscribers ending their cable subscriptions, International Business Times notes.

The exact details regarding how much HBO Now will cost and when it will release haven’t been officially announced. Instead, the company has said that it will share information when it’s ready, reports USA Today.
