MacBook: A new video showing the unboxing of Apple’s upcoming Retina MacBook has been released online, reports MacRumors. The video shows a 12-inch MacBook with Retina display. It comes from Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn. This means that U.S. viewers aren’t likely to understand everything that’s being said in the video. However, it does offer a detailed look at the device a week before it hits store shelves and how it will fit in a person’s hands.
Trade: Apple has brought its trade-in program to stores located in China, AppleInsider notes. Apple Stores located in China are now accepting old iPhones and iPads with the promise of credit toward a new device. The exact requirements behind the new trade-in program aren’t known yet. However, it’s believed that they are similar to ones in place in the U.S. One known limitation is that old devices being traded in must come from China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.
Apps: Apple Watch developers are now able to upload their apps to the App Store, reports 9to5Mac. Prior to this, only specific apps for the Watch were allowed in the App Store. This change means that all third-party developers can now uploads apps for the upcoming wearable device. The new apps will actually be extensions for already existing iPhone apps. Users can choose to update a current app on their device to get the Watch update for that app, so long as it’s been uploaded by the developer.
