Monday Apple Rumors: Apple Releases New iOS and OS X Betas

apple-rumors-ios-os-x-beta-aaplYosemite: The second beta for Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite has been released to developers, reports MacRumors, The new build is titled “14E11f” and comes a little more than a week after the first beta was released. The new beta doesn’t offer much in the way of major changes to the operating system, but it does appear to bring performance updates to it. This would make it similar to the  10.10.1 and 10.10.2 releases. The first beta of 10.10.4 was also released to public testers.

Watch: Data from the Apple Watch’s launch weekend give an insight into how many of the devices were shipped, AppleInsider notes. According to research firm Slice Intelligence, roughly 376,000 Watch preorders were delivered over the weekend. This means that the tech company was able to ship right around a third of the preorders for the wearable tech. Between now and June 11, the research firm estimates that Apple will ship another 547,000 of the smartwatches. Shipping times seem to be based on the availability of certain models of the device.

iOS: Apple has released the second iOS 8.4 beta to developers, reports 9to5Mac. The new beta can be downloaded via a Software Update and should be available from the Apple Developer Website very soon. New features included in the beta are the company’s redesigned music app, “Trending Searches” for iTunes Radio and more. With the release of the second iOS 8.4 beta to developers, teh tech company has made the first beta available to public testers.
