Star Wars Day

“May the Fourth Be With You” is the official slogan of this day that celebrates everything related to Star Wars. The tradition was unintentionally created by Margaret Thatcher.

Britain’s first female prime minister won the election on May 4, 1979 and the London Evening News posted a message that read “May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations.”

May 4 was adopted by Star Wars fans as the day in which we celebrate the popular saga that was launched in 1977.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the latest installment in the series, slated for a December 18, 2015 release.
