apple-rumors-watch-2-facetime-camera-aaplWatch: Rumors concerning an Apple (AAPL) Watch 2 have already started spreading, reports MacRumors. According to the new rumors concerning the Watch 2, the new device will be launched in 2016 following the release of WatchOS 2. The rumors also claim that it will come equipped with the ability to run native apps. There is also talk that the new smartwatch would include a FaceTime camera, better Wi-Fi and other features. However, the battery life for the device is expected to stay the same.

Patent: Apple has filed a couple of patents that give a glimpse into its possible touchscreen future, AppleInsider notes. The first patent that was filed by the tech company details a system that would allow users to make gestures above the screen to give it commands. This would be accomplished with multiple senors that would work off of each other to determine what hand gestures a user is attempting to use. The second patent that was filed by AAPL talks about a way to make touchscreens thinner than what they already are.

Apps: Apple Watch developers are having trouble submitting apps to the App Store, reports 9to5Mac. A problem with iTunes Connect has made it so that developers hoping to submit Watch apps are unable to do so. The apps being submitted are getting caught by the auto-verification software during the portion that checks for private API use. After this, apps are typically looked over by real people to determine if they should be allowed in the App Store. Some app developers that don’t have Watch extensions in their apps are also noting problems with their submissions.
