Watch: Apple (AAPL) Watch owners that upgraded to the watchOS 2.0 beta can’t downgrade on their own, reports 9to5Mac. A new support document that was released by the tech company notes that the only way to downgrade from the watchOS 2.0 beta is to send their device in. Prior to this support document’s release, owners of the smartwatch had tried a variety of different methods to downgrade, but all were unsuccessful. Owners of the Watch also aren’t able to take the device to Apple Authorized Service Providers or the company’s retail stores to have the downgrade done.
Writing: Apple has filed a new patent for a continuous handwriting method, AppleInsider notes. According to the new patent, users would be able to write freely on a device without having to worry about messing up their natural flow of writing. This is due to a system that looks at how a person is writing and determines when to put spaces and other changes in. One example would be the software creating a fresh page for the user to write on if they’ve written from one side of the device to the other and move back to their starting point.
Burn: A new report claims that some Apple Watch owners are being burned by their smartwatches, reports BGR. According to the report, there have a been a few cases of Watch owners having their skin burned while wearing the device. One claim came from a woman who appears to have blisters on her arm where the Watch was placed. The tech company has offered to replace her device with a new one. Another case came from a man that believes that device was responsible for the strange coloration that appeared on his skin after wearing it. It’s possible that these people are having allergic reactions to materials used in the smartwatch.
