Apple (AAPL) may be looking to release a new version of the iPad mini soon.
The new iPad mini was mentioned by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities in a recent report. Kuo claims that the new Apple device will have a thinner case that is also lighter than the previous generation of iPad minis. He also believes that the processor will be upgraded and that the device will be released sometime this Fall, reports International Business Times.
Kuo’s report included estimated shipping levels for iPads during the fourth quarter to increase to 11 million units. He is also expecting 3.9 million Apple Watch shipments in the third quarter of the year. The analysts claims the Watch Sport will be getting updated with new colors options, International Business Times notes.
Kuo’s report on the updated iPad mini comes out roughly a week after a rumor claimed that Apple would be killing of the mini line of iPads. His report didn’t mention any updates to the iPad Air or the possible iPad Pro, reports Business Insider.
