iOS: Apple (AAPL) has released iOS 8.4.1 to the public, reports MacRumors. The release of iOS 8.4.1 comes six weeks after 8.4 was released and it mostly contains performances increases. This means that users aren’t likely to see a lot of visual changes to the mobile operating system. Also, it doesn’t include much in the way of new features. However, the update does bring a good bit of change to Apple Music with bug fixes and other general improvements. It’s believed that iOS 8.4.1 will be the last update to iOS 8 before iOS 9 is released.

Update: Apple has released the final version of OS X 10.10.5 to users, AppleInsider notes. OS X 10.10.5 is designed to be an update to the company’s operating system that focuses on improving performance. This update also included several bug fixes for Photos and other apps. It also stops a major security flaw in Yosemite. It will likely be the last update to Yosemite before El Capitan is released.

Recall: Apple has issued a recall for some of its third-generation set-top boxes, reports Digital Trends. The TV recall was made due to faulty parts that were used in the device. The company didn’t specify which parts were faulty, but did say that the recall only affects recent TV sales. The recall isn’t major and the tech company is contacting individuals that own affected devices separately. It’s possible that the recall could be necessary due to a small part change that was made in recent versions of the set-top box.
