apple-rumors-wireless-network-aaplMac: Researchers have discovered that Apple’s (AAPL) Macs are vulnerable to certain types of firmware worms, reports 9to5Mac. Researchers were able to infect Macs with a firmware worm that was specifically created to do so. This worm was based on firmware vulnerabilities that already exist in PCs. The firmware worms were also able to travel to other devices via Ethernet connections and other sources. The worms are dangerous because they often can’t be eliminated with the installation of a clean operating system.

Carrier: A new rumor claims that Apple is interested in being its own mobile carrier, MacRumors notes. According to the rumor, the tech company would lease network room from already-established carriers. It’s believed that AAPL is already testing this new service out in the United States and that it will also be looking to bring it to Europe. This move would free the company’s devices from having to run on another mobile carrier’s network. If the rumor is true, it could be another five years before the company actually gets around to launching its own wireless network.

Screen: New images that are believed to be of the iPhone 6s smartphone’s screen have been leaked online, reports AppleInsider. The images show what appear to be the front and back of an iPhone 6s display assembly. However, it’s impossible to tell if this is actually what it is or not due to metal shielding being present on the smartphone component. Further adding to this is the fact that the iPhone 6s and the current generation of iPhone devices, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, are expected to look mostly the same with the major changes being in the guts of the device and not its actual appearance.
