iOS: Apple (AAPL) has released the third iOS 9.1 beta to developers, reports MacRumors. The new mobile operating system will include several new features for the company’s devices. When running on an iPad it allows users to interact with the device via the company’s announced Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. It will also allow iPhone users to use their smartphones with the Apple TV. The new iOS 9.1 beta is listed as build 13B5130b. It can be downloaded over the air or from AAPL’s Developer Center.

Water: Apple has taken extra efforts to make sure that the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are water resistant, AppleInsider notes. The tech company added a new silicone gasket around the inside of the device’s case to help keep water out. It also has silicone seals around cable connectors for the buttons, battery, display and lightning port to help keep water out. AAPL didn’t announce any of these changes as new features that would makes the devices more water resistant. Tests by owners of the devices have found that they can handle shallow water for a time, but deep depths didn’t go over well.

Problems: Some iPhone 6s and 6s Plus owners are complaining of problems with their smartphones, reports 9to5Mac. Included in the list of problems that some iPhone 6s and 6s Plus owners have with their smartphones is an overheating Touch ID button, the smartphones shutting off at random, distorted audio from speakers and 3D Touch bugs. Most of these issues can be solved by restarting the smartphones. Other issues will likely be addressed in the company’s next update to iOS.
