Formlabs is debuting the next generation of 3D printers.
The small Massachusetts company has been working on one of the best desktop printers in the world over the last few years. It is a high-quality device that you can buy for a relatively low cost.
Formlabs is following up the device with the Form 2, a 3D printer that works differently than the rest. It uses a process called stereolithography, consisting of a laser that gets shined into a bath of liquid photopolymer, and cures it into a solid object bit by bit.
The 3D printer is available today for $3,499 and it is 50% more powerful than the first Form printer.
Formlab says the device can make objects that are 40% bigger as well.
