apple-rumors-oled-display-iphone-7-samsung-aaplTV: The new Apple (AAPL) TV may start being available for in-store purchases as soon as Friday, reports MacRumors. According to several Apple Store employees, the retail locations will start receiving the new set-top boxes this week and will start selling them on Friday. These sources claim that the Stores will be redesigned during Thursday night to include the TV in their line of products available for purchase. The devices are already available for preorder and some are being readied for shipping now.

Upgrade: Apple wants to extend its iPhone upgrade program to more locations, reports AppleInsider. Company CEO Tim Cook said that he would like to see the iPhone upgrade program be extended to other locations outside of the company’s own Stores. He hopes that someday service providers and other partners would allow the process and that it would be fully automated. The iPhone upgrade program allows customers to purchase unlocked devices for their full price and upgrade a year later. It includes payments over those 12 months that are interest free.

Display: A new rumor claims that Apple could use OLED displays in the iPhone 7, reports BGR. This rumor claims that the tech company is in talks with Samsung (SSNLF) to provide the new OLED displays for its iPhone 7, which will most likely be released late next year. It’s believed that Samsung has already provided AAPL with sample displays that could be used for the next generation of the iPhone. Apple is reportedly expected to make a decision about OLED displays in the iPhone 7 in November. The Apple Watch uses OLED displays.
