Pokemon Go Launch Delayed in Japan Over McDonald’s Leak

Nintendo Co., Ltd (ADR)’s (OTCMKTS:NTDOY) Pokemon Go has reportedly been delayed in Japan.

Pokemon Go was expected to release in Japan, the franchise’s home market, today. However, a leaked email between the company and McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) is believed to have lead to the delay. Insiders claim that there is fear the launch will experience trouble due to hype caused by the leaked email.

The insiders claimed that the delay was only going to be pushed back a few hours, but that now it won’t occur today. However, they told TechCrunch that the game’s launch in Japan is still “imminent.”
