Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) is now allowing anyone to apply for a Twitter verified account.
The new process makes it so that more individuals and organizations that the service deems important to its users can be verified. This includes internet celebrities, journalists, artists and more.
The Twitter verified account process is handled through the company’s Help Center. This link will take users to that site. However, there are some requirements that they should know about before trying to apply.
Users that apply for a Twitter verified account need to meet the following requirements:
- A verified phone number.
- A confirmed email address.
- A bio.
- A profile photo.
- A header photo.
- A birthday (for accounts that are not company, brand, or organization accounts).
- A website.
- Tweets set as public in Tweet privacy settings.
TWTR shares were up 1% as of Wednesday afternoon.
