Fans of the previous generation of the device have been looking forward to the launch of this device. Here are 10 things to know about the new camera, which is being released four years after its predecessor:

  • The Alpha 7R II had the same 42-megapixel full-frame image sensor that you can find on the new camera with a BSI design for improved performance in dim conditions.
  • It also has 399 on-sensor phase detection focus points, as well as a second phase detection sensor with 79 points.
  • The two work in unison to help capture images at 12fps.
  • The Sony Alpha 99 II uses a pellicle mirror that is semi-transparent and fixed in place.
  • Electronic viewfinder (EVF) technology is used on the camera.Image stabilization is used in the camera rather than the lenses.
  • The device has strong video capabilities, offering video of 4K quality at up to 30fps.
  • The Sony Alpha 99 II is smaller than the first-gen version of the camera.
  • It’s about the same size as the APS-C Alpha 77 II.Magnesium alloy is the material used in the chassis.
  • The gadget has dual SD/Memory Stick card slots.The shutter is rated for 300,000 exposures.
  • The body is built in such a manner that it protects the device from dust and moisture.
