World AIDS Day is an international 24-hour event that reminds us of our fellow humans in suffering.
The day-to-day pain that these men and women experience is already quite a burden to live with, but the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS is something we can help curb every year on December 1st.
The day is designed to help raise awareness for the virus that has killed more than 36 million around the world each year, as of 2013. About 2 million people succumb to the illness every year, with over a quarter of a million of these being children.
In order to help those who are in pain, consider sharing one of these seven images that we have compiled to raise awareness. Browse through the next few slides and check them out.
Also, consider donating to one of the fine organizations that offer relief and medication for those who are sick.
