Thursday’s Stocks to Watch: Chipotle, Qualcomm

Here are a few stocks to keep on your radar:

  • Shares of Chipotle (NYSE:CMG) fell 4% in early Thursday trading after the company beat Wall Street’s first-quarter profit and revenue expectations and raised its same-restaurant sales forecast for 2011. Standard & Poor’s also announced that the stock would join the S&P 500 Index on a date to be announced.
  • Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) gained 4.1% after the company beat analysts’ second-quarter profit estimates and raised its financial forecast for the full year.
  • Yum Brands (NYSE:YUM) gained nearly 6% after a mixed earnings report. The company said it expects strength in China to offset a “challenging” year ahead in the U.S. market.
  • American Express (NYSE:AXP) shares slipped 2.6% after the company beat first-quarter earnings estimates late Monday.
  • Shares of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) added 2.9% after the company reported another blowout earnings quarter.
