Electronic Arts ERTSVideo game developer Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:EA) is shutting down three Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) games.

Fans of SimCity, Pet Society and The Sims Social have until June 14 to enjoy the social media games. Electronic Arts said the games are ending because of dwindling user interest, VentureBeat notes.

Despite the closure of the three games, EA said it would continue to develop new gaming content for Facebook. The company is planning to add Plants vs Zombies Adventures to its existing rose of social media games, which includes Scrabble, Risk:Faction and Monopoly Millionaires.

In December, Zynga (NASDAQ:ZNGA) pulled almost a dozen Facebook games and ended its contract with the social media giant.

Earlier this month, EA released a music and photo sharing up for users in Canada and Australia.

Shares of EA slipped almost 2% in Monday trading, while Facebook fell more than 1%.
