AMZN Releases Record-Making Stats for Companies Selling on Amazon

Amazon (AMZN) had a record-shattering year in 2013 that saw its Marketplace Sellers make billions of dollars.

amznThe Marketplace Sellers using the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service grew more than 65% year-over-year worldwide. Amazon’s FBA service allows businesses of all sizes to have their products sold through Amazon. Marketplace Sellers that go the FBA route offers customers Amazon PRIME benefits, FREE Shipping and easy returns for orders placed on Amazon.

The Amazon Marketplace includes over 2 million Marketplace Sellers of all sizes that sold more than 1 billion units worldwide in 2013. Their sales accounted for tens of billions of dollars in the past year. Cyber Monday was the Marketplace’s busiest day when more than 13 million units were ordered worldwide.

AMZN stock is up 0.3% in early trading Thursday.
