Michael Strahan has confirmed that he will be joining the crew over at ABC’s Good Morning America (GMA) part-time.
Michael Strahan will only be working part time on GMA because he has a lot going on and doesn’t think he could do it full-time. He said that he was in talks about the deal on Tuesday and found out that he would be on the show after after a viewing of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, reports Fox News.
Michael Strahan will continue to to host Live with Kelly and Michael with Kelly Ripa. He told Ripa during Wednesday morning’s show that his main focus will still be Live and that Ripa is still his number one priority, Fox New notes.
Disney’s (DIS) ABC has been working to add Michael Strahan as a co-host on GMA ever since he subbed for Robin Roberts while she was out on sick leave last year.
The addition of Michael Strahan to GMA will help to fill the gap left by Josh Elliott, who quit the show earlier this week for a role on Comcast’s (CMCSA) NBC Sports.
