Newsmax is coming to DirecTV (DTV) in the fall in the form of Newsmax TV.
The conservative news site is joining DirecTV as a channel that focuses “on serving an audience of more than 80 million disenfranchised Baby Boomers,” the company said in a release. Newsmax TV promises to offer independent news with a conservative tilt to it while still offering multiple point of views for the sake of objectivity.
More than just a politically focused channel, Newsmax TV will provide a full range of informational programming and lifestyle content for Boomers in the areas of health, finance, and personal well-being,” the company added.
Newsmax TV is also planning on rolling out OTT platform content that is expected to reach 100 million iOS and Android smart devices users.
DTV stock is up 0.12% Thursday afternoon.
