Elsa, the snow queen from Disney’s (DIS) Frozen, made an appearance in the season three finale of Once Upon a Time.
A clear shot of Elsa’s face in the Once Upon a Time season three finale isn’t given, but her blue dress and blonde braided hair make her easy to identify. It also helps that she uses a shot of ice to destroy an urn that she has been released from.
It’s strange to see such a new Disney princess appearing in Once Upon a Time, but the popularity of Frozen likely helped with the decision to add Elsa. Frozen has won two Oscars and is the highest-grossing animated film ever.
In a March interview with E!, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, the creators of Once Upon a Time, revealed that they would honored to have either Elas or Anna appear on the show and that the crew has become a bit of a Frozen fan club.
