Amazon (AMZN) Takes on Tablet Market With Cheap Power

Amazon (AMZN) doesn’t have nearly as much clout in the tablet market as some companies, such as Apple (AAPL). What it does have, however, is a vision for the future. Amazon knows that there is plenty of room to compete at a high level, which is why the company continues to roll out new products that excite.

Amazon Fire HD Tablet

Amazon recently introduced the new Fire HD tablet to the world, proving that it is more than possible to launch a reasonably priced tablet that is full of plenty of high-level features.

Let’s start out with the price. There are two sizes, with the six-inch variation set at $99 and the seven-inch at $139. When compared to other tablets, even ones powered by the Android operating system, that’s considerably cheaper than much of the competition.

“Fire HD is the most powerful tablet under $100. The new Fire HD features a stunning HD display, quad-core processor, Dolby Digital Audio, front and rear-facing cameras, incredible reliability, and Amazon’s unmatched content ecosystem — all supported by Amazon customer service.”

When it comes to cheap, powerful tablets that are full of top-of-the-line features, it is hard to imagine finding a competitor that can go head-to-head with the new Amazon Fire HD. Bezos is hoping this tablet is a winner, and he has every reason to be optimistic at this point.
