Basic materials stocks declined broadly on Wall Street so far on Thursday, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.1%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.2% higher, the Nasdaq was up 0.1% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.2%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (AEM): AEM stock is up 2.6% today.

• Gold Fields Ltd (GFI): GFI stock is up 2.5% today.

• Actuant Corp (ATU): ATU stock is up 2.4% today.

• AK Steel Holding Corp (AKS): AKS stock is up 2.1% today.

• Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is up 0.9% today.

• Greif Bros. Corp (GEF.B): GEF.B stock is up 0.2% today.

• New Gold Inc (NGD): NGD stock is up 1.4% today.

• Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO): EGO stock is up 1.3% today.

• Mueller Water Products (MWA): MWA stock is up 1.5% today.

• Albany International Corp (AIN): AIN stock is up 1.2% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Agrium Inc (AGU): AGU stock is down 2.5%, marking the seventh consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Intrepid Potash Inc (IPI): IPI stock is down 2.0% today.

• Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN): BVN stock is down 1.9%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Century Aluminum Company (CENX): CENX stock is down 1.9% today.

• Lyondellbasell Industries Nv (LYB): LYB stock is down 1.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Fibria Celulose S.A. (FBR): FBR stock is down 1.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Hudbay Minerals Inc (HBM): HBM stock is down 1.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE): GPRE stock is down 1.0%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Celanese Corp (CE): CE stock is down 0.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is down 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
