Basic materials stocks declined broadly on Wall Street on Thursday, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.2%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was steady, the Nasdaq stayed the same and the S&P 500 remained flat.

• Minerals Technologies Inc (MTX): MTX stock is up 2.6% today.

• Cf Industries Holdings (CF): CF stock is up 2.6% today.

• Cliffs Natural Resources Inc (CLF): CLF stock is up 2.4% today on 2 times normal volume.

• Gerdau S.A. (GGB): GGB stock is up 1.9% today.

• Albemarle Corp (ALB): ALB stock is up 1.9% today.

• Wd-40 Company (WDFC): WDFC stock is up 1.7% today.

• Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is up 1.6% today.

• Newmarket Corp (NEU): NEU stock is up 1.3% today.

• Newmont Mining Corp (NEM): NEM stock is up 1.2% today.

• Innophos Holdings (IPHS): IPHS stock is up 1.2% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Commercial Metals Company (CMC): CMC stock is down 1.3%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Kronos Worldwide Inc (KRO): KRO stock is down 1.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• International Paper Company (IP): IP stock is down 1.0%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Graphic Packaging Holding Company (GPK): GPK stock is down 0.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Cabot Corp (CBT): CBT stock is down 0.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Kaiser Aluminum Corp (KALU): KALU stock is down 0.6% today.

• Eastman Chemical Company (EMN): EMN stock is down 0.6%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Monsanto Company (MON): MON stock is down 0.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Carlisle Companies Inc (CSL): CSL stock is down 0.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
