A new Google (GOOG) Calender app was released on Monday.
The new Google Calender app hopes to eliminate entering data manually with several new features. The overall goal of the app is to make it easier for users to make schedules on mobile devices.
Here are a few things to know about the new Google Calender app.
- The app uses auto-fill suggestions similar to Google Search to help schedule events.
- The app will make suggestions based on previously set up events.
- The Calender app will link to Gmail and automatically schedule events for flights, concerts and more.
- A new Schedule View adds flavor to the calender with a look at destinations and local areas in the schedule.
- The app will work on all devices running Android 4.1 and newer, including Lollipop 5.0.
- A version of the app for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone is in the works.
