DirecTV (DTV) has increased its NFL Sunday Ticket prices.
The move came as a result of DirecTV’s new licensing deal with the NFL that will cost it $12 billion over eight years. The company will be paying roughly $1.5 billion a year–higher than the previous yearly $1 billion.
The basic NFL Sunday Ticket package will now cost $251.94–a 5% increase compared to last year. Sunday Ticket Max subscribers will pay $353.94%–7.3% more than last year.
The Max package offers additional features including an app to watch games via mobile devices and condensed NFL games.
DTV stock is up 0.1% Tuesday afternoon.
