• Bhp Billiton Limited (BHP): BHP stock is up 4.5% today.

• Ternium S.A. (TX): TX stock is up 4.2% today.

• Teck Resources Ltd (TCK): TCK stock is up 4.4% today and up 21.5% in the last month.

• Freeport-Mcmoran Inc. (FCX): FCX stock is up 3.9% today and up 20.3% in the last month.

• Bhp Billiton Plc (BBL): BBL stock is up 3.8% today.

• Vale S.A. (VALE): VALE stock is up 3.9% today.

• Arcelormittal (MT): MT stock is up 3.9% today.

• United States Steel Corp (X): X stock is up 3.6% today.

• Rio Tinto Plc (RIO): RIO stock is up 3.3% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Gold Fields Ltd (GFI): GFI stock is down 2.0% today.

• Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd (HMY): HMY stock is down 0.7% today.

• Sonoco Products Company (SON): SON stock is down 0.8% today.

• Fibria Celulose S.A. (FBR): FBR stock is down 0.9% today.

• Murphy USA Inc. Common Stock Wh (MUSA): MUSA stock is down 0.4% today.

• New Gold Inc (NGD): NGD stock is down 0.5% today.

• Neenah Paper (NP): NP stock is down 0.4% today.

• Weyerhaeuser Company (WY): WY stock is down 0.4% today.
