The Ford hiring spree will go through March and will also result in some pay raises. The company will be increasing the pay of 300 to 500 employees. The company has to increase pay to hire the additional workers as part of a contract with the United Auto Workers, reports The Detroit News.

The 1,550 jobs being added as part of the Ford hiring plans will all be working toward production of the 2015 F-150. Dearborn Stamping and Dearborn Diversified will add 500 workers, Sterling Axle will add 150 and the company’s Kansas plant will get 900 employees. The pay raises will bump the 300 to 500 workers that get it up to $28 an hour from $19, The Detroit News notes.

“Thanks to stronger-than-expected customer demand, we’re adding 1,550 new workers to support additional F-150 production,” Joe Hinrichs, President of the America for Ford, told Bloomberg. “We sell every truck we can build, and we plan to build more.”

F shares were up 2% as of Wednesday afternoon.
