More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average stayed consistent, the Nasdaq climbed 0.3% and the S&P 500 was unchanged.

- Sun Hydraulics Corp (SNHY): SNHY stock is up 1.5% today.
- Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd (ACH): ACH stock is up 1.4% today.
- Gold Fields Ltd (GFI): GFI stock is up 1.3% today.
- Graphic Packaging Holding Company (GPK): GPK stock is up 1.1% today.
- Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is up 1.0% today.
- Sealed Air Corp (SEE): SEE stock is up 0.4% today.
- Balchem Corp (BCPC): BCPC stock is up 0.7% today.
- Agrium Inc (AGU): AGU stock is up 0.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Quaker Chemical Corp (KWR): KWR stock is up 0.6% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is down 6.2% today.
- Teck Resources Ltd (TCK): TCK stock is down 3.7% today.
- Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK): BAK stock is down 3.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Century Aluminum Company (CENX): CENX stock is down 2.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Hudbay Minerals Inc (HBM): HBM stock is down 2.2% today.
- Sasol Ltd (SSL): SSL stock is down 2.5% today.
- Crane Company (CR): CR stock is down 2.4% today.
- National Steel Corp (SID): SID stock is down 2.9% today.
- Bhp Billiton Plc (BBL): BBL stock is down 2.2% today.
- Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI): ATI stock is down 1.8% today.
